World Circular Economy Forum goes online!

The year 2020 marks a year of change and adaptation. The COVID-19 pandemic has washed across the world and damaged our economies. At the same time,  importance of a rapid transition to a circular economy is more important than ever. The whole world needs to find ways to get back on its feet, and we have a unique opportunity to support the sustainable recovery of our economy with circular solutions.

This unusual situation has inspired to organise the first fully virtual event, on 29-30 September, as part of the World Circular Economy Forum. WCEFonline will dive into why and how a circular economy can help reboot and build resilience in the economy.

Consisting of six independent sessions with keynote speeches, panel discussions and networking opportunities, WCEFonline is a must for all circular economy enthusiasts. It will present some of the world’s top business leaders, policy makers and thinkers as speakers. These include Inger Andersen, Executive Director of the United Nations Environment Programme; Ricardo Lozano, Minister of the Environment and Sustainable Development of Colombia; Dame Ellen MacArthur, Founder of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation; Carolina Schmidt, Minister of the Environment of Chile; Frans Timmermans, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission; Stientje van Veldhoven, Minister for the Environment of the Netherlands; Jonathan Wilkinson, Minister of the Environment and Climate Change of Canada; and Jyrki Katainen, President of Sitra, among others.

Come and join circular economy change-makers from around the world as they share practical circular economy examples that will help us rebuild our economies stronger, greener and better! With top speakers from around the globe, networking tools and a chance to take part in the discussions from wherever you are, WCEFonline offers a modern circular economy venue.
